Well over the last several years I've spoken many people that have experienced racism or some form of hate by other Christians. Also you see in the main line media and various articles and sources about people like Mr. Sharpton, (aka) Rev Sharpton, or Westboro Baptist Church. Who promos the race card instead of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power of God unto salvation, a Gospel that transformed a races gang member like me.

Let me note that racism is not just about color, but it touches on hate against ones culture or up bringing, unwilling through the love of Christ to adapt in respects to a persons speech, culture, social statues, party or because one is christian, or baptist, or pentecostal, etc... All for the sake and glory of Christ. Gal 2:28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Questions To the Church.

1. Has the church become blinded to her mission?
2. Are we consciously and subconsciously racist because of our upbringing?
3. Do we carter to one RACE when we live in a multicultural community?(if so your church may be racist)
4. Do we just sit by a watch the church become more racist?
5. If you notice that your church is a bit racist in some form do you confront the pastor? (dah)
6. Can one truly be Christian & racist at the same time?

Remember Racism isn't just color but background, social standing, speech, culture etc......

  1. That's crazy. I would challenge them to answer your very thoughtful questions. It seems to me that a true Christian church should be able to say something along these lines:

"The Church unequivocally condemns racism, including any and all past racism by individuals both inside and outside the Church. In 2006, then Church president Gordon B. Hinckley declared that “no man who makes disparaging remarks concerning those of another race can consider himself a true disciple of Christ. Nor can he consider himself to be in harmony with the teachings of the Church. Let us all recognize that each of us is a son or daughter of our Father in Heaven, who loves all of His children.”"
